New Releases | 6.28.21

I don't know why, but for some reason these posts are harder for me to finish than interviews. I know what I want to ask, but I don't know how to verbalize why I like what I like. Just trust me on this y'all.

This post is brought to you by The Boss Baby: Family Business (Out July 2nd). I'll be expecting my check in the mail, DreamWorks.

Always (single) - Skirts

We're starting things off with the single Always by Skirts (Alex Montenegro). The Dallas based singer-songwriter has quickly one one of my favorite artists of the year, and their upcoming album, Great Big Wild Oak,(Out July 30th) is one of the most exciting debut albums I've heard in a while. For sure someone you want to keep an eye on! Texas Forever.

To Enjoy Is the Only Thing (Album) - Maple Glider

Maple Glider (Tori Zietsch) is SO good. SO good. Maple Glider's debut album, To Enjoy Is the Only Thing, is a masterpiece. The honest songwriting, the hauntingly beautiful delivery, everything is perfect.

niño (single) - Ed Maverick, Muelas De Gallo

I know I'm late on this one. I had heard other bands and artists mention Ed Maverick, but I never got around to listening to him until last week and I had no idea what I was missing out on. I love Ed Maverick. Every once in a while I become obsessed with an artist and listen to them not stop. The past two weeks it's been Ed Maverick.

Kill Me (single) - Indigo De Souza

Everything Indigo De Souza does is good. I shouldn't have to explain myself.
